North Shore Railroad Plans Maintenance Activities along the Railroad Tracks in Lewisburg Borough during August 2024
Lewisburg Borough has been notified by North Shore Railroad that they will be undertaking two major maintenance activities along the railroad tracks in the Borough during the month of August 2024:
- On or around Wednesday, August 14, 2024, North Shore Railroad will be tamping new stone along the railroad track ties from Borough boundary to Borough boundary.
- From Monday, August 19, 2024 – Friday, August 23, 2024, North Shore Railroad will be replacing the railroad track crossing at St. Mary Street in Lewisburg Borough. Mary Street from North Fifth Street to North Seventh Street will be closed to vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian through traffic for this week. The businesses along St. Mary Street will still be accessible during construction, but all traffic will be prevented from crossing the railroad tracks on St. Mary Street.
