Spring Brush Pick-Up April 2nd through 6th

Just a reminder that the Borough encourages residents to participate in the annual spring pick-up of  brush, tree trimmings and leaves. The Public Works Department follows the daily street maintenance schedule and these materials are only collected on the day the street is posted for no parking from 7 AM to Noon.

New Entrance to Borough Office

The new Borough Office entrance is located along the western side of the building and can be accessed from the Borough’s parking lot via a new wooden ramp that is located within the deck that overlooks Hufnagle Park. The ramp leads you to a new entrance door and a new building lobby.  From the lobby you can access the Council Chambers, a new handicap accessible restroom, and a security window with a staff member ready to assist you!

Borough Building Renovations Continue

Reminder:  Meetings scheduled to be held in the Council Chambers between February 21st and March 19th have been relocated to the Training/Classroom on the first floor of the Fire Department Support Center at 239 North Fifth Street.

The Tax Collector has also been relocated to this location from 10 AM to 2 PM on  the following Wednesdays:  February 21st, February 28th and March 7th.

Snow Removal Throughout the Borough of Lewisburg

The Borough Public Works Crew will be hauling snow from Market Street, the metered parking spaces on the side streets, and from the municipal parking lot behind the post office building overnight tonight (VERY early in the morning on Friday, February 9th). Metered spots on the side streets will be covered with no parking bags later this afternoon. Market Street is no parking from midnight to 7 AM every day. The Police will begin ticketing and towing vehicles on Market Street and in metered parking spaces on the side streets shortly after midnight.

In addition, the Borough will be hauling snow from the Borough streets marked no parking for street sweeping beginning at 7 AM tomorrow morning (Friday, February 9th). The hauling of snow will continue daily until all streets are cleared or until the snow sufficiently melts. Ticketing and towing will be in effect on no parking signed streets until this process of snow removal is complete.

Borough and East Buffalo Township Meeting to Discuss BVRA IGA

Another meeting between the Lewisburg Borough Council’s Community Development/Planning Committee and the East Buffalo Township Supervisors will be held at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the East Buffalo Township building on Fairground Road to continue discussions regarding the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for the Buffalo Valley Recreation Authority (BVRA).  Members of the public are welcome to attend.
