Lewisburg Borough Public Notice —
Lewisburg Borough anticipates that the public restrooms in Hufnagle Park will be closed from Monday, August 21, 2023 – Sunday, August 27, 2023. The closure is necessitated by electrical work associated with the Hufnagle Park Event Venue Project construction activities. Lewisburg Borough intends to place a temporary restroom (i.e. a port-o-potty) along St. Louis Street at the park for this week.
Closure of Borough Parking Lot and Driveway
The Lewisburg Borough Office Parking Lot and Driveway will be closed from late Friday afternoon on August 18, 2023 through late morning on Monday, August 21, 2023 for seal coating and line painting. Any vehicles parked in this lot during this timeframe will be ticketed and towed. We expect the Borough Office Parking Lot and Driveway will reopen by noon on Monday. If you need to drop a refuse payment or parking ticket payment off at the Borough Office during this period, access to the silver drop box on the South Fifth Street side of the building can be gained from the sidewalk along St. Louis Street.
Please be aware that there is substantial street and creek flooding in the Lewisburg Borough.
It is advised to use extreme caution on the roadways and avoid streets that have been blocked off.
If needed, siren warnings will be activated along with CodeRed messaging.

They have since set multiple adult mosquito traps to get a better idea of virus activity in the area, as well as adult mosquito populations. Residents may find doorhangers on their doors that outline ways that they can reduce breeding habitat in their own yards as well as other ways to protect themselves.
