Parking Lot Snow Removal

Lewisburg Borough residents/visitors who plan to park in Municipal Parking Lots during this snowstorm must be aware these lots will be closed at times to facilitate snow removal.  At this point, it is not possible to determine when such clearings will occur.  We will make an effort to place this information on our Borough website and Facebook page in advance.  However, please understand that your vehicle may be towed if it remains parked in a “Closed” Borough Municipal Parking Lot when such snow removal activities occur.

Lewisburg Borough Special Weather Announcement

As the weather forecast continues to call for heavy snowfall accumulation in Lewisburg, we are beginning to plan for post-event snow removal activities. The Borough Public Works crew plans to undertake excess snow removal activities from Market Street and other Borough streets. Beginning Friday, December 18, 2020 at 7 am, the crew will remove snow from the parking lane of those streets posted “No Parking” for street cleaning. This process will continue each day until Thursday, December 24, 2020 at noon when all parking lanes/roadway edges should be cleared of snow. In addition, we expect to clear the Market Street parking spaces/parking lanes beginning Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 12:01 am. Our crew will also clear the Municipal Parking Lots as time allows.

Please note that illegally parked vehicles on all streets will be towed to help facilitate snow removal activities. Please obey the No Parking signs. The BVRPD will assist us with vehicle ticketing and removal. Vehicles must be moved for the equipment to properly and safely clear the parking lanes and roadway edges.
